Term 3
This assignment was a three part assignment. First Mr. Ramos had us draw our design on graph paper before putting it on the computer. Before drawing this we had to become internet explorers and research different bridge designs. Once our designs were approved by Mr. Ramos we drew our designs on Auto CADD. My top project is the completed version of my design for my concrete bridge. I also dimensioned the design so it would be easier to continue the project. For the third part of the project I created my original design as an Isometric design. Ths project required my knowledge of Isometric design, line toold, hatch tools, trim tool, dimension tool, and the copy tool. I also had to make sure I met the design requirements of 10' wide and 20' long. The final project is not visible on this website because one day our computers were shut down and the project was not saved, but I turned in the completed project to Mr. Ramos. During this project I recieved feedback from Mr. Ramos, where he helped me add the water into my first drawing. During this assignment I learned how to use the hatch tool, so that I was able to hatch at an angle in my isometric design. If I was to do this project again I would change the design of my bridge to make it a little more challenging.
For this project Mr. Ramos gave us specifications for us to build a wind turbine truss tower. We had to make a truss tower that was 40' tall. Before we could do this project we had to become internet explorers and research different designs of wind turbines. My partner, Courtney, and I decided we were going to base our project off of a design that we found and really liked. The first thing that we did in this project was we drew our design on graph paper. Then once our design was approved we began to draw it on CADD. For this project we used the line, trim, offset, copy, and hatch tools. Once we finished that part of the design Mr. Ramos wanted us to create some sort of pin that will hold our beams in our project together. This is a Work In Progress, which means that we are not finished yet. So far, Mr. Ramos has given us feedback on how to show that our beams our welded together.
